A 40.000 feet high, and nearly 4 hours of travel ahead, I start to think a bit about how small the world has become: Bach used to walk 30 miles daily from Lüneburg to Hamburg touch hear Reinken. Now in question a couple of hours we travel distances as great as that which concerns me at this time: from Houston to Mexico City.

also looks at the diorama that happens to me under the turbine of the Boeing 737. In the photo I have taken alone can distinguish the horizon for the countless clouds separating the Gulf of Mexico from the sky. It is a beautiful landscape.

Travel is the most rewarding experiences one can have. Nothing is remembered as well as a journey.

I'll be home for Christmas ...

3 hours after my first entry in this post, missed a connecting flight and 4 bags of peanuts after I finally find the way to see my family, Diana and my friends.

have to pack some humor to travel, no doubt about that ...

It is about the time of hugs and punch, turkey, gifts ...

Far from home ...

'm far from home. Since last week I'm living in a suitcase in Arlington, TX.
I would say that I'm here on holiday but is just the opposite; I have been businessmen.

This weekend is the first time I have chance to go out and get to know the city.

I did not miss the chance and went to visit the famous "Dealey Plaza" which is where John F. Kennedy was killed.

The building where Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly shot Kennedy is now a museum and went to visit him. It can be seen, among other things, the original camera which took many photographs of the murder. They have the famous Zapruder camera, but a replica. The place is emotional and well organized, with lots of information and images for the curious.

This view will be familiar to those who know something of the JFK case.

In this direction there are selections from the Zapruder film: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/neal.mccarthy/jfkvideos.htm

I reported in Another time, from Arlington.

Greetings!

Clay (II) Clay

out there a criterion that defines the piano as a percussion instrument because the strings are percutidas for a Matrillé. For some time, the Germans tried to call the word pianoforte Hammerklavier which literally means "hammer keyboard."

Harpsichord by Andreas Ruckers built in 1636

The clavichord is more akin to the lute with the piano in the way it sounds in it: the strings are plucked by a mechanism that is activated by the keyboard in a way very similar to that touch the strings of a harp. The disadvantage of this instrument is that the strings are weak and it is not possible nuances between weak and strong. For this reason the piano was called "Fortepiano" in Italian comes from the words and piano forte: Strong and weak. Later models were called pianoforte instrument to reach the modern Piano the same way that the cello is known simply as Cello.

The Harpsichord come in various shapes and sizes. The most notable, in my opinion, is the inclusion of several keyboards or "manuals ." These made it possible to nuances in the music and give different effects. You could play one or two at a time, turning pegs. Also pins had changed the orientation of the push pins and thereby got different sounds. Just as organs, harpsichords played with the idea of \u200b\u200bthe synthesizer.

Details of the mechanism of a harpsichord.

The theme of the harpsichord is so interesting and extensive post deserves an own ...

Bach's music transcends the instrument. It had been said but we have not materialized this claim. To do this I invite you to hear the Toccata and Fugue in E minor, BWV914 in harpsichord and later in Piano.

The piece has 4 sections:

An introduction by way of prelude.
A piece in a double fugue, though not strictly a leak.
An adage.
A three-voice fugue.

Piano Steinway Model C.

two manual Harpsichord Hubbart, 1975

The differences are remarkable, let's start dynamics.

The Piano allows nuances between voices, that is, we can give proper emphasis to the voice that carries the theme. In the case of the Toccata, the second section you can hear 2 voices start at the same time. These are the themes of the double fugue and the piano is very easy to emphasize one or the other (of course, say "very easy" is relative).

In the second recording we hear the same piece with harpsichord. The first thing to mention is that the work is half step down. This is because in times of Bach LA3 standard pitch was 415 Hz instead of 440 today day. Instruments made under the specifications of those times were designed to achieve their best sound tuning under these conditions. Therefore respected Baroque pitch on this recording.

almost any chord in harpsichord sounds good without some strappo , which is the execution of the notes of a chord in succession as opposed to joint, as is done today. This was so common in those days that sometimes only the strappo indicated explicitly. The same applies to delays and ornaments. It is common to exaggerations in the duration of the notes, the occasional rubato. For example, are dotted notes play as if they had double dotted. The trills and ornaments such as trills are played with greater impact and faster.

see, is a delightful thing but tortuous decide between the harpsichord and the piano ...

To keep talking about the importance of the music of Bach will see a transcript made by Franz Liszt's a fantasy for organ of the German master.

Smoking Weed With An Ulcer

ever Emejota said, referring to interpretations of Glenn Gould - Bach's music is clay so the craftsman make wonderful things. Bach's music is the medium of expression of the performer. Anyone who has heard and compared the performances of Gould with other artists understand well what is spoken. This explanation of Emejota I liked it.

Bach's music is a set of expressions that are constantly looking for a voice to express, and I mean almost literally voice. The pianists we constantly find happiness in a very peculiar dilemma every time we take a score of Bach: Piano or Harpsichord? This situation arises all the authors of the Baroque, as Handel, Scarlatti, Soler, Couperin ... but in the case of Bach we have the choice of instrument is a gentle torment that enjoys a lot.

composers in the above situations occur that reveal the author's original intention when he wrote this or that work. In Scarlatti, for example, have the script shows that the instrument in which the work must be executed is small and soft keys, characteristics of the harpsichord. Couperin is a book entitled L'Art de toucher will clavecin (The art of playing the harpsichord) and the title is not a waste: it is a lengthy treatise on the French harpsichord technique.

Bach's music in the terse and strong German language becomes vague and diffuse. Das Klavier Wohltemperiete , badly translated as "The Well-Tempered Clavier" does not refer to the harpsichord in its title, but all keyboard instruments as Klavier German word meaning "keyboard." But what keyboard? In Bach's time there were organs, harpsichords, virginal, spinet, harpsichord (not the same thing that harpsichord harpsichord). Another example is the title of the last great work of Bach, The Art of Fugue (Die Kunst der Fuge ). It found that the pieces are written with each voice separately and in key soprano, alto, tenor and bass. There is no indication of instrumentation in the score thing is used to play it in any possible combination of solo instruments or with a keyboard instrument.

BWV913

As the humble opinion of your server, the work of JS Bach is written in such a way that transcends the instrument. Music is so powerful that no matter how you listen, you'll always find new forms of expression regardless of the instrument that is played, and stating that you are not suggesting an outrage because it is a clear example of the Chaconne in D minor of the second Partita for solo violin, which is a marvelous transcripts have experienced.

BWV913 is the catalog number of the Toccata in D minor seven series Keyboard Toccatas ranging from BWV916 BWV910 up. In this work I have found many times in the previously described dilemma. The Toccata in D minor, BWV 913, despite its catalog number is probably the oldest of all. Has a more familiar when compared to other Toccatas and therefore it seems more simple in its construction, but this is only in appearance. Forms of 4 sections each separated by starting strongly with a fanciful character introductory movement that unfolds to bring down a number of passages with a beautiful decoration and a return to the force of the initial fantasy figure. So here we could call this first section, "Prelude" of the work. Followed by three movements indications Presto, Adagio, Presto and Allegro, giving the idea of \u200b\u200ba sonata. Rapid movements are very free leak that are closer to the invention and the Intro. The slow movement is characterized by a break ostinato makes its first appearance in the soprano voice on the fourth beat of the movement. Glenn Gould makes magic with this passage.

Here is a recording of that work:

It listens to the force and elegance of the baroque. Elegance. I stopped a bit to think about that word because I was impressed a bit and I think it is a good adjective to describe the baroque spirit. There is an elegant style throughout the book that simply gives me goosebumps.

I invite you to listen to the piece and tell me what you think. Later we will make the painful, but delicious selection of Piano.

On the road again ...

This week I'll be back at General Motors Silao.

After much work with vendors, endless meetings, and other business issues finally assembled 4 trucks GMT931 project . Last week I spent three days in the Lear plant, which is 5 minutes from GM Silao. Lear makes seats for trucks, first, second and third row. There we saw the process assembly kits to be used in the pilot run on Monday. I was lucky enough to promote our company and came back with 3 new customers. My visit to GM as a secondary objective morning has come back with more customers.

I love traveling, but it has its drawbacks: I will not be near my family and friends for my birthday. Furthermore, I have been gone almost a week ago and have not seen often enough to Diana.

Trips are the most formative experiences one can have. Well-off people tend to send their children abroad for "who are themselves" but I think this is nonsense: if someone is not well defined before going back only more confused.

The part I like least about traveling is when night came to the hotel. You are all alone and you realize the distance that separates you from your daily life. Sometimes Moreover, a client wants to go see the city or a group of people meet for a drink. All this seems to be shadowing me the same thing: the loneliness of the road. To combat that feeling I recommend listening to music.
I admire people who live in another country by risking the whole project all in one life. Small adventures in distant lands one are always worthy of saving and bringing them to light in the company of a group of loved ones, the warmth of friendship and a cognac. There are thousands of these adventures. There are achievements and successes in all of them, but there is occasionally a defeat. I think the writers prolific are those who have done extensive travel, even within oneself.

I write more from Silao.

Bernardelli Vp For Sale

An excellent article several months ago, which aptly summarizes what is happening in Bolivia.

Carlos Alberto Montaner

In Bolivia it is surprisingly quiet. Since independence, declared in 1825, there have been nearly 200 coups and counter. Perhaps this is due to the artificiality of its historical origin. Perhaps, the intricate composition of the elements of the country: an impossible geography, ethnic groups faced, and above all, at least three different views of reality that underlie different and opposing interpretations of the past and offer wildly divergent courses of action to build the future. That does not hold a nation, but a chaos anthem, flag and a seat in the UN.
should be given a pair of data for understanding. The country, with more than one million square kilometers, twice the territory of Spain, but only has less than nine million people scattered over the Highlands in the roof of the world, 3,500 meters high, middle areas of comfortable temperature more weather tropical jungle territory. Roughly speaking, the conventional ethnic division establishes that there is a 55% indigenous population, divided between Quechua and Aymara, two-Andean groups, 30% mestizo and 15%

With that spirit was greeted George W. Bush in Mar del Plata Summit of the Americas. All America against U.S. imperialism except for El Salvador and Colombia, according to the press.

This time I have to agree with the" mass media ". Bush is extremely unpopular in Latin America, both as USA. The worst part is that such influential figures in our countries and our same leaders that hate absurd sponsor and support terrorist states 2
What benefits will these policies seventies absurd anti-American and anti-free death trade? Well none. Pain In Arm When Push Up

Elections in danger

several weeks ago has been exacerbating the problem of the seats in parliament. The problem basically follows:
Under the constitution, the number of representatives for each department should be updated after each census, as the increase or decrease of the population in the departments. The current redistribution was made after the 1991 census and updated as necessary census data of 2000, which shows Santa Cruz with a population increase of 4 seats would give more than it currently has. The Court has already ruled in favor of Santa Cruz in September, but the increase in Santa Cruz representatives would mean a decrease for La Paz, Oruro and Potosi. Congress and civic committees of both sides do not give this arm twisting and endangering the conduct of elections in December. Congress will meet on Tuesday to expect to reach a solution.

Antique Wood Ironing Table

The wonderful UN Country Part 2

During and before the war in Iraq I've heard people say "Why not the United Nations for Bush's war?" With a terrible outrage, as if Bush was a murderer bastard going to kill children beautiful wedding in Baghdad. As if Saddam Hussein was a beautiful human being and a great neighbor in the Middle East. And ahead of all opposition to this unjust war, was Kofi Annan and his friends from the United Nations (in the end, unfortunately for all those people who believe in this institution, could not stop the belligerent American foreign policy.) Well, I have more than enough written about it, but I think there is much more United Nations of what people think. Are much more rotten than they realize, and the Soviet Union put the hand over what they tell us the history books we read in school. And as we all know, the Cold War did not have a paper signed where indicated to this, so all the machinery of disinformation created by the Communists still stands today. Once I said this in an internet group, and showered me answers like "how ridiculous is that," "JAJAJAJAJA" or "anti-war protests were organized by concerned citizens tired of quackery and abuse of U.S. presidents" . Ion Mihai Pacepa may have sounded more convincingly than me. Ion Mihai Pacepa is a former secret agent of the Soviet bloc, and writes articles regularly. This especially speaks of the nomination of Michael Bolton as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Excerpted from

UN
know like the back of my hand. And I have good reason to believe that we need a tough guy like John Bolton to handle the runaway bureaucracy that has turned against the country drafted the logo of its Charter: "We the People of the United Nations." I spent

20 years of my former life as a communist spy chief, struggling to transform UN into a kind of international socialist republic. The Communist bloc spent millions of dollars and thousands of people in this giant project. According to the Senate Intelligence Committee in the U.S., all employees of the Eastern bloc nations of Europe were involved in espionage. The task of this army of spies to steal secrets but was not used United Nations to turn the ancient Islamic hatred against Jews in a new hatred for against the mainstay of the state of Israel, the United States. The UN has become a Petri dish in which cultivate a virulent strain of anti-American hatred, grown from bacteria of communism, anti-Semitism, nationalism, jingoism and victimology.

During the years when I was National Security Advisor of Nicolae Ceaucescu, I learned that you can not handle petty tyrants with kid gloves. It takes an iron fist.

John Bolton not only acts forcefully but gets results. Virtually

only managed to revoke the UN Resolution 3379 of 1975, which stigmatized Zionism as "a form of racism and racial discrimination." That resolution was the first great "victory" of the Soviet bloc at the United Nations. Shortly after its adoption, the Communists unleashed a vitriolic campaign presenting disinformation to the U.S. as a rapacious Zionist country run by a greedy "Council of Elders of Zion" (an insulting epithet against the U.S. Congress) that was plotting to transform the world into a vassal of the Jews.

Why Carlos Mesa is currently the most popular politician in the country? according to a survey published in La Razón several days, if officers were entitled to run for president in the general election this year (which probably will not happen), would win with 25 %!. Back in the Jorge Quiroga would y. .. Evo Morales. In short, if the election were today, with officers on the lists, the left would get 45% of the vote.
I have heard of many people who voted for Evo Morales in 2002, the death wish now (by the way, I do not want it, the URL is just a flashy title) after the mess they put together, but none of them stopped believing in what he preaches Evo: An enormous been socialized! Those votes are now officers, the progressive voice of moderation, but no less tinged with red. The sad reality of Bolivia is that you need a tremendous coup, an economic and political upheaval to finally understand that we can not cling to ideas that devastated dozens of countries in the last century, and now we want to sell as a defense of the homeland. And on second thought, the coup and gave us more than 20 years with the UDP. Perhaps we are doomed to be ruled by politicians 4th that DiCenso be "center" or Evos Morales ...

Elections ... At last! We notice

Despite the antics of Senator Filemon Escobar MAS, Congress finally set dates for general elections, referendum and constituent assembly. The "at last" because I'm not happy with these early elections (as this comes thanks to months and months of absurd conflicts), but because Congress could finally decide something (the second thing worth the penalty after he accepted the resignation of Carlos Mesa). Here are the dates:
general elections, parliament and presidential elections: in December 2005. Day to be fixed by the National Electoral Court. ←
Constituent Assembly (eye to it) and Autonomy Referendum: July 2006. Day to be fixed by the Court. In Santa Cruz

lists are lists of candidates for prefect (governor), where one of the main promoters of the Santa Cruz autonomy movement. As for the presidential news will in the coming weeks.

What Are Atypical Glandular Cells

Hormando Vaca Diez, president of the Senate and Mario Cossio, the possible successor of President Mesa, rejected in a special session of Congress in the city of Sucre as president, after Congress accepted the resignation of Carlos Mesa. According to the constitution, if the presidents of both chambers resign, then, is the President of the Supreme Court, Eduardo Rodriguez, who will take charge, but must call elections in up to 150 days. The possibility that within a few months we have the best friend of Chavez in the government and install a constituent assembly is very, very big.

new president and the people will take over ... Fascists and left

Evo Morales announced last-minute news conference that called for "civil disobedience" and "not allow" that Hormando Vaca Diez, President of the Senate (successor to the current prime minister), takes office as president in If Congress accepts the resignation of Carlos Mesa . He also announced that a constituent wishes immediately, and that what he wanted with it was to change "the economic system." A Evo Morales joined him, among others, the intellectual mayor of La Paz, Juan Del Granado in their rejection of the Santa Cruz becomes president.
The Congress shall assemble at 6:00 pm Bolivia time in the city of Sucre, which is also flooded marchers.
Meanwhile, several army divisions stationed in the department of Santa Cruz have moved to the provincial capital (Santa Cruz).

Magnum Vs Regular Condoms

Thomas Sowell, the great American economist, wrote a few months ago very interesting article in which he spoke of a terrible evil that suffers the world: The inability to disagree. It seems that today we can not have points different views, but we do or do have to be in an evil end, and this can be seen every day in Bolivia and (though it bothers me to say) much of this evil is owed to the left. Every day we see vandalism committed in favor of "common good" and if someone dares to criticize it automatically becomes the ambassador of Nazism in Bolivia and agent of the multinationals. The leftist intelligentsia dominates the universities, where all the "analysts" come professing to neoliberal system and influencing public opinion terribly methods that are nothing new.
The stigmatization was incredibly effective weapon the Soviets in the expansion of its revolution around the world, and these tactics persist even today. So then, is that if we left Santa Cruz to defend ourselves against vandals who have no other intention but to create chaos, then we are fascists / racists and members of the white oligarchy that wants to oppress the peasants.
not only stigmatize, but to adhere to causes little or no affinity with their ideas, as the peasant movement in Bolivia. A clear example of this is our best friend, which inspired me to name this blog: Evo Morales. He was a peasant leader, with nothing but coca-not-a-cocaine in his head, until one day he caught another revolutionary chip (Or someone activated it) because fascists decided that it is wrong for selling drugs to survive Bolivia.
That is why Evo is just the tip of the iceberg of a tangle of problems in this poor country, ranging from institutional and cultural to the political and economic. In Bolivia the only political movement with a defined ideology, militancy has had for many years is left. And with its moral and intellectual superiority categorize others as it suits them. I am sure that Bolivia is not the only place in the world where this happens.
hope the day comes when we can reach productive conclusions of the disagreements we have, but while ideas de Castro (Fidel) still going strong around the world, and others do not learn to listen a little more, will be a while until that day comes.

course, when the excesses, huasqueaduras, whipping, kicking, punching and any other demonstration of xenophobic violence that occurs union in El Alto and La Paz, are classified as "social movements" and when something similar happens in Santa Cruz calls it "racism Camba. What about discrimination against the media and the Andean leaders?.

is no stranger to the images that have appeared in the media when, for whatever reason, the exalted Andean people cling to kicks and punches, broken windows, burned cars and public buildings cling to lashes to which dare to go through a barricade blocking and nobody, absolutely nobody, is able to denounce or at least initiate a proceeding before the Judicial Technical Police accusing the vandals for the "rosary" of charges that they could charge. Prosecutors in La Paz, which are sent to defend the common good of society-are conspicuous by their weak character, since they own initiative and without there being any obstacle can arrest and prosecute offenders put to intimidate, violate fundamental rights and the cause of the serious problems facing the seat of government. What are you doing? Nothing.

Sure, it's easy pandering to these criminals, arguing that social demands is, however neither the press nor effeminate La Paz La Paz political analysts appearing on TV at night, are able to report these abuses and are not able to require the executive branch not only act, but also Judiciary, which has so much responsibility when events occur such as those suggested above.

We all agree that social events, where they are peaceful and do not harm the public and private good and if it does not violate human rights are an expression of democracy and therefore are legal, but we can be wrong in any event when it becomes aggression must be punished with everything the law commands

But when the law does not work when the authorities do not work and when criminals, Communists, Trotskyists and European NGOs, seeing this weakness advantage to arm chaos and anarchy, what is left to the citizens?.

leaves two options, the first is the option you have taken more than a million paceños sorrowing, trembling with fear and praying all the saints, they hide in their homes and wait for God's help. That is the option that qualify as religious choice. Around the world to pray and pray that after the barbarism is something of their city, their neighborhood, of their business and their jobs.

The second option is the Santa Cruz many years ago swore would never happen again to take away our peace, we are humiliated, raped our women and emasculate the honor of the hardest working people of Bolivia. In Santa Cruz is still fresh in the collective memory of barbarism committed by peasants Ucurena that encouraged by a social movement (similar to today carries on the MAS) and pandering to local political operatives allowed the abuses to which our parents were subjected and grandparents. This option is called Option Cruceña. Around the world to defend our people, our city and our dignity.

why all analysts are calling tearing his hair out on what they want the youth of Santa Cruz Youth Union, yet they are acting consistently with the same degree of care that all our people profess it. They are neither fascist nor racist. Cambas cigars are defending their city, defending our civil honor and essentially defending the lifestyle of Santa Cruz's work and progress.

We must make it clear that Santa Cruz will not allow them to replicate the events of La Paz, and if the population there, the PTJ, the prosecution did not act in favor of the majority and go out to defend their property, here live a noble and peaceful people, but a brave, that in the absence of authority the Santa Cruz million living in our city, we want to produce and work will know how to defend our race

is incredible as the handling information on certain sectors, such as this page (the limit!) http://www.bolivia.indymedia.org
